Below are known issues and potential workarounds related to some of the functions of Blackboard 9.1

Announcements

Issue: Repeated footer ("This is a system notification sent based on your personal settings and should not be replied to. Click here to view and edit your Notification Settings")  at end of emailed announcement.

Status:  Blackboard is aware of this bug and will resolve the issue in an upcoming patch upgrade.

Gradebook

Issue: When students leave a test attempt or assignment attempt "in progress", faculty receive an error message when trying to submit the in progress attempt through the grade center.

Status:   Blackboard is targeting this error to be fix in Release 9.1 Service Pace 6 planned for release in 3rd quarter of 2011.

Content

Issue: When copying/pasting from Microsoft Word into Blackboard, formating and fonts look different.

Workaround:

Microsoft Word generates codes that may not be compatiable with the Blackboard text box editor.  Copy text from Microsoft Word to Notepad or Text Edit - this will strip out any coding generated by Microsoft Word.  From Notepad or TextEdit, copy and paste the text into Blackboard.   Do any formatting within the Blackboard text editor.
